Global Entrepreneurship Week Hawaii ended with Makana telling his entrepreneurial story and performing his fabulous songs at the Closing Celebration of the Hawaii Young Entrepreneurs Summit and Fest on Nov 22. It had started with a Kickoff at Arts at Mark Garage with keynote speakers: Dr. Tim Kane of Kauffman Foundation and Ms. Linda Harris of Golden Basin International. During the week, 15 events took place all with one mission - to know more about what it takes to be entrepreneurial and have fun while at it. GEW Hawaii thank all the sponsors, partners, adminsitrative support, experts and speakers, and the people who attended.
About Global Entrepreneurship Week
Global Entrepreneurship Week (The Week) is a celebration of innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity. The Week will bring together millions of young people across the globe through online and local activities and encourage them to think innovatively and unleash their ideas. Through a coordinated effort with many different countries, during one week every year, the world will celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit in hopes of inspiring a new generation of young entrepreneurs.
Hawaii Pacific University and High Technology Development Corporation are pleased and excited to bring the Global Entrepreneurship Week to Hawaii on 17-23 Nov 2008. Partners and sponsors are working together to organize a week filled with exciting programs and events to celebrate entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and inspire a future generation of entrepreneurs who will change the world for the better. The week begins on 17 November and will culminate in the day-long Hawaii Young Entrepreneurs Summit and Fest at HPU’s Hawaii Loa campus on 22 November.
